Opting to bat first, Dutch openers Phebe Molkenboer and Sterre Kelis got them off to a decent start before Manisha Upadhayay sent the former back to the pavilion.

Skipper de Leede walked in at No.3 but Nepal struck again as Kabita Joshi picked Sterre Kelis for just eight.

The Netherlands captain, alongside Robin Rijike stitched a solid partnership, before Seigers added 26 to take her side to 140/9 in 20 overs as wickets tumbled at the other end.

Chasing a decent total, Samjhana Khadka and Mamtha Chaudhary got off to a sedate start but Eva Lynch drew first blood for the Netherlands. Khadka (23), Pujo Mahato (18) and Indu Barma (30) all fought but eventually fell short as Netherlands beat Nepal by 15 runs.

Iris Zwilling, Caroline de Lange, and Seigers all picked up two wickets each.
